Mmo general 1

MMO or Massively Multiplayer Online is one of the major and essential mechanisms in School of Dragons.

MMO, while optional, it's a crucial mechanism in the game as it allows the player to use and do things that can't be done in singleplayer.

How to Switch[]

In order to switch from MMO, the player has to go to the Options menu (the gear icon) and press the MMO button.

It's recommended to not move when it's switching and loading the other players, that includes the mouse as the more movement you do, the more it loads and the higher chance to crash. Staying in a high location and/or less populated (often being where you're usually teleported to when entering/exiting a location) also helps the game load MMO faster.

Having the game open with other programs can also slow down the process.

How does it work[]

The MMO works on servers, that is, an x number of players are present in one of the many servers in the game while the y number of players are in another server, this explains why when someone is looking for their friend, they can't seem to find them due to them being on a different server, whether they're on the same spot or not. At the moment, there's no way to change servers and the only way to enter a specific server is to either switching MMO on and off or re-entering the location.

Training Grounds is an excellent example to demonstrate servers as the location works in a slight different manner due to the Battle Events - whenever battle happens, the servers will always display a random type of ship (Berserker or Outcast) but all the battles happen nearly at the same time, resulting in players talking about a Berserker ship when you fought the latter.

MMO also allows the player to do MMO-exclusive features that singleplayer can't do. Down below is all the features that the player can do with MMO.

Glitches[]

MMO Itself[]

  • Sometimes it will turn MMO on but won't 100% load the players (making a "ghost MMO"), switching off and opn will fix the problem;
  • The Visit function and/or the Viking Idle function can cause players to see other players with a 2nd or 3rd clone of the active dragon, including one inside the true active dragon.

Chat[]

  • Often times, the chat won't properly work and won't submit what you're saying, currently the only solution for this is to reopen the game;
    • If the chat requires you to switch the Safe Chat off from the manage account but the said section of the Website gives a "Error 404", the only way to solve this is to contact the Jumpstart's Customer Support email.
